General Description: Bowling Green University, one of the best known and highest quality universities in Ohio, now offers a distance education masters degree in criminal justice. Founded in 1910, Bowling Green State University is a public Doctoral and Research institution offering more than 200 bachelor degrees and programs, and more than 75 graduate programs.

88% of applicants were accepted; 80% of all freshmen and 70% of continuing students received some form of financial aid, averaging about $11,500. BGSU is considered competitive, and tuition is approximately $9,060 for in-state applicants, and $16,400 for out-of-state students.

Degrees Offered: Students can obtain undergraduate degrees in computer science and computer information systems, liberal studies, or RN and BSN degrees. Graduate degrees in organization development, business administration, and healthcare administration are also available.

Requirements for Acceptance: The ACT is required and the SAT is recommended. Performance and test scores must be at minimum and above to be considered. There is no automatic admission. A GPA of 2.5 is required. AP and CLEP credits are accepted. Important factors in the admissions decision are advanced placement or honor courses, recommendations by school officials, and evidence of special talent.

Online courses at BGSU begin and end on the semester schedule and assignments and tests have specific deadlines. Although you do not have to travel to campus to attend courses, you must log in often to stay on track with due dates and to successfully complete each course.
